The many species waiting to be caught within Lower Lakes are many and varied, Carp of over 20lb have been caught but almost certainly there are bigger ones to be found, there are wild Commons, Mirror, Leather and Ghost carp, along with pristine Crucians, Bream, quality Roach and Rudd, fine Tench and hard fighting Perch, even large shoals of Gudgeon can add to the enjoyment of a days angling.
The lakes have been hardly fished and stock are natural wild fish with many carp that have never been caught before.
